Five Total Strangers

Another Target Find (tm): "Five Total Strangers" by Natalie D. Richards. And hoooooooooollly shit.

["When Mira flies home to spend Christmas with her mother in Pittsburgh, a record-breaking blizzard results in a cancelled layover. Desperate to get to her grief-ridden mother in the wake of a family death, Mira hitches a ride with a group of friendly college kids who were on her initial flight.

As the drive progresses and weather conditions become more treacherous, Mira realizes that the four other passengers she's stuck in the car with don't actually know one another.

Soon, they're not just dealing with heavy snowfall and ice-slick roads, but the fact that somebody will stop at nothing to ensure their trip ends in a deadly disaster.
 "]

I lost count of the number of times I swore out loud and then had to adjust my seating position due to a fucking plot twist in this book. Like honestly, you're on fucking edge the entire novel (okay well starting at like the end of chapter three and onward).

And honestly, just when you think you figured out who the "bad guy" is, there's another fucking plot twist and it sends you into another new theory on who it is and its just...wow. I feel like some of the plot could be cut, but at the same time, I was reading it so fast it might have been critical to the plot and I just didn't notice (or it could have been clues to who the bad guy was that you'd get on the second read through).

Trigger Warnings: violence, stalking, murder, car accidents, theft, guns, paranoia, deception, blackmail, drugs, etc
