This world sucks. I mean, THIS world, Javier's/Bowie's world technically is fiction, but you know what I mean. People are horrible. People do terrible things to good people. It's not fair. Bowie didn't deserve that. BUT Javier made sure that his angel's abuser made amends (and then...let's just say he made sure of other things ;) ).
Poor Javier, though. He didn't stand a chance against Bowie. He was head over heals, heart eyes and everything from the moment Bowie stormed screaming into the police station (a very appropriate "meet-cute"). Bowie took some convincing (but not a lot, Javier might not have the puppy eyes down, but he's a force to be reckoned with in his own ways).
Together, they were unstoppable (like many (all of) the couples in Onley's books). Just this side of psychotic but capable of so much love and devotion.
