The Dino Whisperer (The Dino Uprising #2)

What's more important? Reading something on your TBR list, finish the (one of many) book you just started, or binge read the latest D.K. Sutton book? OBVIOUSLY, its DK Sutton. Here's "The Dino Whisperer." It is the second book in a new trilogy by DK, The Dino Uprising.

["Can I tame the beast?

Tate Goodman is sweet in a bumbling adorkable way, but something dangerous lurks inside him. Something desperate to get out.

This is my specialty. I’m a sixty-five-million-year-old Troodon shifter known as The Dino Whisperer, and Tate is my latest assignment. I’ve been alone for eons, and I no longer believe in love or happily ever after. So why am I distracted by Tate’s soulful brown eyes and shy smiles? And don’t get me started on those thick thighs. I want him to manhandle me. To unleash his beast so we can play. But others have wounded Tate and taken advantage of his sweet nature. Something I would never do.

We’ve barely started our training when a sassy pirate whisks us away to the lair of a dino crime-boss-wannabe. Tate has something he wants. Something that could change the dinosaur world forever."]

It's been a while since I read the first novel in this series, and I gotta say, I'm not sure how much I remember after all of the dinosaur secrets came out and the government attacked them and they ran off into the sunset together. I remember liking Tate and Austyn and Rad and Walter (...not sure I remember Mr. Jacobs).

And then the first few chapters made me question why I remember liking Walter....thank's for that pirate-dino. And then again a few times. And a few times more. Spoiler alert, by the way. But that fucking pirate ended up being just a charming (and smarmy) as I remember.

Quote of the Day (Tate): "Aus, it feels like too soon and a million years too late, but...I love you." D: Because they're billions of years old. And fated mates.

And (yes, back to Walter), I really hope the next book his is HEA.

The novella ended on a series cliffhanger (or sorts) but a HEA for this couple.
