Here's the latest from Willow Dixon: "Hide & Seek." It's the second novel in her new series, Silvercrest U.
["Jax
It was supposed to be an easy keep an eye on Myles until I’m sure he’s not a threat to us, then forget he exists and go back to living my life.
But there’s something different about him. Something that speaks to my dark side and turns an easy job into an obsession. I want things from him I’ve never wanted before, and the more I watch him, the more I’m sure he wants them too.
He just doesn’t want to want them.
Myles might have started out as a job, but he’s the only person who’s ever made me feel anything, and once I set my sights on him, I'll do whatever it takes to make him mine.
Ready or not, here I come."]
I looove the "my stalker makes me feel safe" vibes. It was adorable and concerning and just so Myles. I wanted to wrap him up in a blanket and protect him.
This book was almost entirely different than the first one, and yet it worked. It all worked. It was perfectly dark. The stalker was similar to other books I read, but it was also so uniquely it's own.
I loved these two. Myles and Jax just worked. Their romance was quick, but all of the hot, stalker, primal play lead up was extended over several weeks. They built up to something IRL, something long lasting.
I canNOT wait for the next one!! I wonder if it'll be Jace or Xav..
Trigger Warnings: violence, threats, blackmail, stalking, attempted murder, kidnapping, really horrible and depraved deep fakes (not on page, but of children in a sexual nature), and more.
