Addicted to His Scent

Temporarily caught up with ARCs should be catching up on TBRs nooot reading a book I saw on a targeted-add today... Anywho, here's Lyra Moreau's "Addicted to His Scent."

["Adrain, an Omega who accidentally stumbled into the real world, had endured two days and nights of gnawing hunger and sleepless torment—until the familiar, scorching heat of his rut hit without warning. In this strange realm where "suppressants" were unheard of, he clung to his last shred of strength, forced to beg a total stranger to help him survive this potentially fatal rut.

Marcus, a billionaire who plotted every move with cold calculation, saw the world only through the lens of profit and gain. To him, the disheveled Adrain was nothing but a spy sent by his father—cheap, frivolous, and utterly shameless. When Adrain, trembling, told him he was pregnant, Marcus dismissed it as a absurd lie, convinced Adrain would fabricate anything to cling to him. With a ruthless, icy rejection, he crushed Adrain’s last glimmer of hope, sending him plummeting into the abyss of despair.

Yet all his carefully crafted calm shattered the moment he caught sight of Adrain under another man. In that instant, Marcus could no longer hide behind his mask of indifference—every pretense dissolved, and the raw, unbridled longing he’d denied for so long finally broke free."]

This book was a rollercoaster. It was all over the place for a whole, then consistent, then a little chaotic again. Some things were over dramatic and some things weren’t as fleshed out as they could have been.

BUT these two were adorable. Their story was hard, their HEA harder. But it was beautiful. Redemption and trust and fate and love and destiny. Fighting of love and realizing you’re wrong and trying again. It was a little rough but it was adorable.
