Here's Kit Barrie's "Snow White and the Seven Little Miners." It's a novel the new multi-author series, The GriMM Tales.
["Once upon a time, a beautiful prince met seven little men.
Obsessed with beauty and perfection, The Evil Queen did not anticipate the day that her only son would become fairer than she. Desperate to save himself, Prince Makellos flees into the woods. Luck brings him to the house of seven little men exiled to work in the mines, digging gems for The Queen. Makellos finds that they need him as much as he needs them, and love blossoms in the little hideaway.
But the jealous Queen will stop at nothing to kill the son who has grown to outshine her. Will the seven little men be able to protect the prince they’ve become so fond of, or will evil triumph at last? Will everyone in Falchovari finally get their Happily Ever After?"]
This novel was handled with care and precision. It discussed several little people topics, through the centuries and present, while being patience and kindness. During which the Queen was the Evil Queen and everyone in the series (including this eight men) got their HEAs (all of which we saw, even in passing, in this book). And of course the MC with the biggest heart of all got the biggest HEA of all.
Quote of the Day: "'I always say, your heart never runs out of space. It just grows bigger to take it all in.'" Sappy but true (and fitting for our dear Snow).
This story was about second chances and first loves and being kind and having courage and choosing happiness and banding together and cottage-core day dreams. It was beautiful and sad, but it was restorative and filled with redemption. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful series.
Trigger Warnings: fairytale-style deaths, attempted murder (knife and strangulation), poisoning, talk of women and children being killed, famine, non-graphic hunting of animals, emotional abuse by a parent, off-page loss of family and friends, and more.
