Faker (Forever Family Trilogy #3)

Here's Kiki Clark's Forever Family Trilogy. The third novel is "Faker."

["Falling for your straight best friend while he pretends to be your boyfriend is something not even Samuel would be foolish enough to do.

And yet...

All Samuel wanted was to not show up to his ex's wedding alone, but his friend Will has a better idea: go as fake boyfriends to make him jealous.

What could possibly go wrong?

Well, for starters, Samuel’s ex knows Will isn’t gay. Of course, Will has a solution for that too.

They’ll just have to convince him. By whatever means necessary.

As the big day approaches—and he and Will keep practicing how to pull off their charade—Samuel’s not sure he’ll make it through the wedding festivities without losing some of his dignity.

And maybe his best friend."]

This one was a little more angsty, a little more hurt/comfort than the other two novellas. But it also felt almost sweeter in the end.

I love best friends to lovers stories, and this one was adorable. It was all about safety and vulnerability and trust and communication and found family, being able to lean on your friends to help you out with your emotions.

And the epilogue? I'm not crying; you're crying. That was too much and yet perfect for the two of them. More friends, more found family, move love and support and kindness, spreading it all to others in need.

Trigger Warnings: foster care system, homophobic/toxic exs, and more.
