The Alpha's Getaway (Fated Souls #3)

Here's "The Alpha's Getaway" by Savanna Rose. It's the third novel in the Fated Souls series.

["One misunderstood Alpha. One broken Omega. One heartbreaking bond.

Haunted by years of abuse at the hands of his psychotic brother, Evan finds himself at the bottom of the food chain as an Omega. Despite being given a fresh start in the sanctuary of a new pack, his past lingers no matter how many times he asks the Moon Goddess for guidance and forgiveness.

When Evan meets the new Alpha of Rainewood pack, rumoured to have the deadliest father known to their world, he wasn’t expecting the tall, lean, and heavily tattooed man to be his fated mate.

Caleb is cold, distant, and ruthless, leaving most wolves trembling in fear. But beneath Caleb’s hard exterior is a man fighting a war of his own, desperate to escape the shadow of the monster who raised him. His alleged reputation says one thing, but his heart says another, and yet, no one fully understands him.

Evan knows he’s no match for Caleb, but fighting their matebond feels impossible, even in a world where being together will cause more harm than good. Caleb knows he’s playing a dangerous game, but when it comes to his mate, it’s time to fight for what he truly wants."]

Oh did these two make me cry. It was a constant hurt/comfort. One angle, another angle, yet another angle. All kinds of hurt, from all kinds of sides, all of me crying.

They were adorable as hell! So much fluff and so much steam, in between all of the hurt/comfort. They were so devoted to each other (and to themselves--so much personal, mental health rep in here). They wanted what was best, even if best wasn't easy, even if best looks a lot like self-sacrifice.

Through soooo many trials and tribulations (soooooo many), they found their way back to each other (again and again). It was filled with strength and resilience and bravery and love.

Trigger Warnings: attempted suicide on-page and suicidal thoughts, mention of self-harm and on-page self-harm, mention of sexual abuse and MC forced to partake (not descriptive), physical and emotional abuse from family members, descriptions of violence and gore, captivity, anxiety, depression, PTSD, nightmares, misogyny, homophobia, and more.
