Trying to get through some of my...softer TBRs after ignoring them for so long for the darker romance TBRs. Or at least a little at a time. This story was a fun interlude between dark things. It was fun and flirty. It had just the right amount of drama (not necessarily between these two). It was spicy but not overly so.
I loved how these two clicked and connected so quickly. They were instantly safe and comfortable with each other. They had chemistry that people work on for weeks/months to achieve in just one car ride. They cared for each other's happiness, even if it took away from their own. If only they hadn't agreed to the "weekend only" stipulation (there has to be sooommme relationship drama amongst all the rainbows and butterflies).
Not sure if it's comforting or not (I guess it is) that being afraid and alone and like a bit of a fuck-up when it comes to your professional career spans the pond.
